SOME OF OUR EXPERIENCES
2007 edition: The
architecture of our sustainable growth
For the first time
the UniCredit Leadership Meeting took place in the new UniManagement Development
Center building. Alessandro Profumo (CEO of UniCredit Group), surrounded
by his leadership team, opened the meeting by sharing his vision for the future
of UniCredit.
At the end he said: “I was very impressed by your contribution
to what we have discussed in these two days in UniManagement. We have challenges
in front of us but we are at the best position in the European market. Everywhere,
we can be a great player.”
2008 edition: Empowering Sustainability
Scott
Bedbury (former advertising executive for Nike and Starbucks, currently
freelance brand consultant, member of the Board of Directors for Jones Soda, and
CEO of Brandstream Inc.):
“It’s amazing to me to see the direction you are
taking. In the teamwork sessions you had in UniManagement I saw a lot of comments
about being less product sales driven and more customer-driven, values-driven and
emotional-driven. This tells me that you are ready to be more brand-driven … There
is great nobility in what you do in UniCredit Group. You help people reach their
full potential to create a more enriching and sustainable life for themselves”.
2009 edition: Banking Reloaded
During the event the participants worked closely together to analyze the challenges
that lie ahead of our Group from a leadership perspective.
Involvement and “sense-making” of all colleagues on current external context and
financial crisis, as well as on UCG perspective, have been regarded as a critical
element of our sustainability now and in the future.

Rino Piazzolla (Head of UniCredit Group HR): I truly think that
today in UniManagement we are all doing something extraordinary. In other companies,
I have seen a lot of examples of processes similar to this one. But in this case
we have chosen a path that is really unique because we have combined together some
of the existing best practices like the Ombudsmen structure with the Restorative
Justice System. Many other companies have an Ombudsmen network and are playing around
with the concept of Restorative Justice - that is not new in absolute terms. But
it is the first time that these two elements have been combined together.

Sergio Chiamparino (Major of Torino):
… the first impression of these three days meeting is about the very interesting
collaborative work methodology we did in UniManagement that should be useful to
transfer also in “Torino Internazionale” working style.

Dieter Rampl
(Chairman of UniCredit Group) open the council saying: “This is the first workshop
on Industrial Relations and Social Dialogue we are doing in UniManagement and we
know that our event today is a ground-breaking event. What we discuss over the next
few days will be meaningful for all our 180,000 colleagues at UCG. Our goals are
quite clear. We are all here to bring all of us at UniCredit Group closer together.
We are here to create a better understanding of what is driving our management positions.
We are here to receive the points of view of every country in which we operate that
will serve our distinctive Group culture. These three areas are extremely important
to our work”.

Dario Prunotto
(CEO of UniCredit Private Banking) e
Gianni Coriani (Head of UniCredit
Corporate Banking): “We work in a different way when we come here at UniManagement.
Me and Gianni are sure that we would not have achieved certain results had we been
elsewhere. These results have even led to extremely detailed regional plans with
huge colleague input from those who worked on them”.

Boris Tymonkin (CEO of UkrsotsBank): ”I’m very proud to welcome
you in Turin. It was long trip, wasn’t it? 7 years ago we would have never said
that so many of us could be here today. This is “THE” initiative for our management,
thus we have invited several colleagues from other banks across UniCredit Group.
During several workshops you will be able to hear their experiences. Welcome to
UniCredit Group!”
Giovanni Papa (COO of UkrsotsBank): This meeting helped us in clearing
some doubts, worries and concerns. Currently there is a political
presidential
election in the USA and as one of the candidates, Barack Obama, would say - “YES,
WE CAN and YES, WE WILL!”

Seven floors of the new head
office to personalise, almost six hundred colleagues involved, music, paintbrushes
and arts and crafts. This is the ‘pulsating’ heart of the "Building The House of
Financing" project, born in UniCredit Family Financing and realised in collaboration
with UniManagement and Unicredit Real Estate.
Mario Bastoni
(Head of UniCredit Family Financing Bank HR Office) said:
“…We understand that
the innovative key to re-inventing our new house was to involve the people who have
to work there, and to create spaces in which work would be pleasant. At this point
we needed a partner who helped us to realise in an effective way those ideas and
we naturally thought of UniManagement.”
Franco Paglia
(Head of Real Estate Project Planning office) said:
Actually, at the beginning,
we didn’t know what to expect but the idea of having a new, just re-structured head
office with people as ‘interior designers’ made us really curious. Often it is said
“we are working for you”, but from our experience we learnt that, to achieve excellent
results, it is necessary to say “we are working with you, we are all working together”.

piacevole tempo trascorso insieme in occasione dell'incontro dello scorso 1° ottobre.
