BUILDING BLOCKS
Building Blocks are programs especially dedicated to new managers and professionals. Learning methods used are interactive and based both on the principle of sharing experiences with other colleagues and on direct experimentation: various solutions are proposed to participants, who can exchange their thoughts and opinions to understand together which are the positive and negative aspects concerning each of them.
The facilitator has the role to help them finding out the gaps and crucial issues and therefore the several ways to improve their performances. He/she only suggests different models and gives the opportunity to make comparisons among them to let people take their own conclusion about the best one to be implemented in the future.
To better analyse the different topics dealt with these seminars, we can distinguish among four main areas:
- Relationships: open discussions and observations about how different people deal with different kinds of persons in different situations; one element which is very important to be considered is that this topic is much related to emotions!
- Organization: how to manage different problems and aspects present in daily job (such as the “time issue”) and how to organize personal priorities.
- Management: how to manage people, to motivate them, to evaluate their performances and properly delegate to collaborators.
- Communication: the focus is on the fact that to reach a goal, either with colleagues or clients, we always have to handle with communicative performances; the objective is to set up a list of rules on how to communicate more effectively and reach the overall satisfaction among the involved parts.
Building Blocks really give the opportunity to a participant to improve and learn by analyzing and comparing certain behaviours and actions with other participants.
